I sold it about 6 months ago because fixing it was getting to the point of diminishing returns. I don’t regret it, but I really want a small truck again.
It was a 2.3L 4 banger and a catastrophically horrible 4 speed automatic that only could manage about 15 mpg, but it was the perfect size truck. It could haul anything I needed (large car parts, motorcycles, lumber, tail-gating gear, band equipment, etc.) while still being compact enough to easily maneuver around downtown Cincinnati where I live.
My only complaints were the lack of power and interior space so the next one will be an extended cab and a V6. Time to see if I can find the perfect mid-00's Ranger, Colorado, Frontier, or Tacoma!
